We can always stand some more rallying pictures - although the Sunseeker might be heading towards record coverage for one event on here

I like these. It looks like you were having to cope with some pretty difficult lighting in the morning stages - a shade and sunlight mix is never easy. The Canon 70-200mm f/4L is a good lens for rallying although it does start to struggle a bit as the light goes.

Thanks for posting these, they're a great effort for first time out with new equipment!

Never too many images, especially an event that so many of us went to, it's good to compare angles not just the quality.

I think I need to check my monitor calibration at home however - these shots are coming out very dark on the PCs at work...

As the others have said, you can never have enough Rally or Motorsport shots, particularly for those of us who couldn't see the event for ourselves.

Some very nice shots indeed, i particularly like the Focus and the second shot of the 6R4.

How do you find the 18-50? I almost bought one a few months ago...

The Sigma is pretty good, although mine is a little soft on one side at 50mm wide open. It did surprisingly well at focus tracking in AI Servo for the rally, although I'd have to say that the Canon 70-200 was better all round. I mostly use it for landscapes, where it is much better than the 18-55 kit lens I used to use.

I think i have been slacking off on the sports section at the moment. Roll on the 19th March and Brands Hatch, get to squeeze into my tango suit again
