I was in Washington DC Friday and Saturday. Friday we toured the monuments and the cherry blossems but it was not a great day for photography. I was able to get out and shoot that night though. I am still processing images but here is one I really liked. As I process more I will post.

This shot was taken from the WWII Monument. I thought it was a pretty cool view looking back and catching some of the WWII Monument and Fountains.

This is great. The last time I was in DC they had drained the pools for cleaning. I'll be back this week and hope to replicate this photo provided there aren't too many touri.

The reflecting pool by the Lincoln Monument is empty for repairs. I was disappointed to see that when I was there last week.

I really like the two pictures from of the WII Memorial. It's definitely a must-see at night. It's probably my favorite at night along with the Lincoln Memorial.

When I visited DC for the first time in 2011 the Reflecting Pool was also empty for repairs. I was disppointed of that so I know what it feels like. I felt in love Ith the city anyway. Fortunately it was filled with water last year when I went back. It's so much better.
Now it's the Capitol that's covered with scaffoldings... It seems there's never a perfect time in DC for photography. ;-)a

I was looking for a Washington DC thread to post a couple pictures in and I think this is the most recent. Here are a couple pictures from my last trip. Tried to get up early and beat some of the crowds.

Sunrise on the Mall, near the Lincoln Memorial, is really a great experience. I did it September 2014 and it was amazing to be there almost entirely alone. There were two people sat on the side of the Memorial and myself and my brother. That was it. So peaceful.
That's a fantastic sky you got there!
