Where is serial number located 24-70 f4 IS

I'm trying to compete a MIR for a Canon 24-70 f4 lens. The Canon MIR form states to write the alpha numeric serial number next to the selection. I can not find a serial number on the lens, which includes a thorough look under the dust cap where the lens connects to the camera. The UPC label has many different series of numbers, but none that are alpha numeric. It was purchased new by me from B&H.

On mine, it's on the barrel (bottom when mounted on the camera) just above the "Canon Inc, Made in Japan". I'll post a photo if you still can't find it.
