After much deliberation, I've decided to part with my baby. I am the second owner of this lens. The original owner was world famous wildlife photographer, Andy Biggs. He kept excellent care of this lens and I have done the same. Then lens travels and was used with a lens coat protective cover. This lens has only been used once since it's last inspection at Canon Services. To my knowledge, the lens has never needed any repairs. I know it is tack sharp.
So why am I parting with such an awesome lens? Quite frankly, I'm not a 'birder'. I mostly use it for wildlife photography in Africa. Now that I primarily go to lodges with off road tracking, I'm usually way too close to use this lens, even on a full frame body (great problem). My loss will be your gain.
