I purchased a refurb lens a few months ago directly from canon. While it was in transit to me, I noticed that it went on sale. I contacted Canon and wanted to see what they could do. I was willing to refuse delivery, thus forcing a return, and purchase another one that very day... or any number of other options. The CS person assured me that it would create unnecessary paperwork, etc, and that she could issue a credit to me for the difference in price just as if I had bought it 2 days later. I was assured that the credit would post to my original form of payment within 60 days.... 60 days!!! really, they are going to take 60 days to issue a refund... well, ok, it was from an account that I really don't use, so I was't in a hurry. Its now been 70+ days and still no refund...
Is it just me, or is this common for Canon.. are they more timely than this, and I am simply unlucky, or is getting the money that they promised you nearly impossible. I though they were better than this. I have made several purchases from them in the past, and never had any issues, but then again I have never done a refund through them before either?
What are you experiences?
(FYI, I send the Customer service an email on the issue, we'll see what happens there)
