Hey Jeff, I live about 20 miles north of the Medicine Lake NWR, going down tonight to look around and scope out some good spots, went down earlier today and talked to the Biologists about what they would like to see as far as photographers go. Nice guys down there, pointed out some likely spots on the map for me to get me started. Its a fairly large refuge so help with good spots was appreciated. The only areas they don't want people in are the nesting areas and the mating areas for the sharp tailed grouse. I'll let you know how it goes!
