The reason for this picture is because I am doing a series called "child in the woods". The above did not turn out as creepy as I wanted so I did not put in in the series, but still like the way it turned out.

I don't know......it looks pretty creepy to me in the sense that she looks feral. Looks like you came upon a child that hasn't seen another human in quite a while.

Actually kind of disturbing.

Ya I thought it had a different feel then the other pics I took of her. This was seems more raw or like you said a feral child.

When you say disturbing, you mean inappropriate? or just creepy?

I agree, it looks pretty creepy! Imagine a scene from a horror movie where the antagonist is walking in the woods or somewhere and comes across a random child like that.

What's the story behind the photo set? Location? And just some random child you stumbled upon and decided it would be fit for your project? It almost look staged, then again it doesn't. I hope it's staged for your shoot, sad to see a child in that living condition (I know there are millions out there).

Gotcha! Yeah, saw your series before posting my first response to this thread. Nicely done with the hair, outfit, surroundings, lighting, and everything. Great to have your daughter willing to help out. My daughter is 6, turning 7, and I'd be lucky if she's willing to have her photo taken after a few snapshots lol

There are a couple of things I would change in this shot. First I would have turned her just slightly so that her crotch was not visible. Second I would have made her look at little dirtier to fit the theme a little better.

I really like the series!

Thanks Pvancord for the feedback. I agree on turning her to the side, but working with a 5 year old you only have so many shots b4 they are over it . I also agree on making her a little more dirty..bummed I didnt do that.

Photoshop is a wonderful thing. In fact, Obsidian Dawn has grunge brushes for it.
