But I had to build a fire today...snow flurries in the air once again. I sat outside yesterday morning and the little birds kept buzzing past my head, nearly hitting me several times! Crazy fliers!

The Dark eyed Juncos were every where.

I was hoping the Purple Finches would come back, but I spooked them when I set up my Canon!

One of my favorite shots of the morning, a White Breasted Nuthatch. I liked the shadow on his belly!

That's it for now!

The nuthatch is priceless, Sandy. We had snowflakes here today, but I already cleaned the stove for the season; I refuse!

Good set and nice to see that bright goldfinch in the mix. Love that nuthatch pic, wish I could manage to get a shot like that. They go straight to my feeder and rarely stop on any nearby branches.

Well taken considering the harsh light you had to deal with Sandy. My goldfinch are showing up too. TFS

Thanks Al! I love my wood heat, building fires into the month of May some years!

Thanks Mike! I have lots of "perches" for them to land on, making the odds better that they will land...but making it harder to focus in a hurry!

Thanks Jeff! Oh by the way...I had two "Pondraders" land briefly yesterday! Evening Grosbeaks that is for anyone who may wonder what to heck I'm talking about!

Thanks Ian! The Purple Finches certainly brighten up my day. Now to get a few decent shots of them to share.

Thanks Cheryl! It's surprising how busy the feeders are right now.

Thanks Ted! Seems like my light is either harsh, or non-existent!

Thanks Bret. I love the Juncos and their scrappy behavior. My Pine Warbler showed up this morning. Great way to start the day!
