Picked this up in February 2015, currently paired with a D7100.

Mainly used to shoot youth sports at the moment.

The only thing I am not a fan of about this lens is the girth, and the zoom ring is at the end of the lens, instead of towards the body as the Nikon variants are. From my in store testing, I could not find any real world differences between the Tamron 70-200 VC and the Nikon VR2 (I dont pixel peep).

I found a used VR1 and am extremely happy with it.

Love my Tamrom 70-200! The vast majority of my shooting can he handled with this one lens. For portrait sessions I force myself to break out the 85mm sometimes, and the 50mm as well, but would be happy if I had to use just the Tammy.

Looks really nice. I've got the Sigma, wish I'd spent a little more at the time to get the Tamron!

Cropped just a bit ;)

This is lens is the best bang for the buck IMHO. A lot of people don't like 3rd party, but I doubt a lot of people have tried this lens. It's a great value. I think its pretty sharp too.

Nice shots.
