It looks like it can be created with a 3D printer.
Is it just structural or does it hold a alignment of a lens group?

I wish you are right about the 3d printing. I asked once on a 3d printer forum ~1 year ago and they told me it would be too complicated (at least then) to create the program/CAD? to print this form.

It is structural, no lens group.

I would be willing to give it a go. I have 3DS Max and it seems like a simple shape to build. Just have to align the holes in the correct distance of one another. I've used 2D cad for 21 years so I could scan the shape in 2D and make a template then import that into 3DS. That should line up the hole positions easier than measuring.

I've done a decent amount of lens and camera disassembly/repair and know how crucial one part can be. Ebay usually wants a small fortune or it isn't available at all.

I would say I would need the part in hand to do the scanning and precision measurements. I see you are in Sweden. I'm wondering if it is possible to take a high quality photo of both sides plus the outer diameter to rebuild it from the photos without the need to ship it. Hmm, I would still need some depths/thicknesses. But before all that, it would be best to take a regular photo of both sides (at a bit of a angle so I can see thicknesses) so I can see if there are any any problems areas that might make 3D printing difficult.

Is there a piece missing or is it still whole but broken?

BTW, I'm in Virginia in the states.

Wow, thanks a lot. I am on the road right now. I will take picture as soon as I can.

Basically, the part is cracked. It cracked, but still in one piece (like a horseshoe that would loop the loop). I will get back to you as soon as I can. You can PM for an address where I can send the pictures.

Best regards,
