Any alternatives to the Lensmate brand? Would really like one, but $70 is a little hard to swallow.

The ones that I see listed for the X-T1 wouldn't work.

As an owner of the X-T1, X-E1 and X100T, I have thumb grips on the X-E1 and X100T, but would never put one on the X-T1. With the placement of the viewfinder on the X-T1, I think it would be more of a hindrance. Just my 2 cents. Fuji X....BAAAAM! Renders way different than Sony.

Not that its insufficient, the thumb grip should provide more one handed stability. I shoot my kid using the LCD most of the time anyways at an angled shot, so yea a thumb grip would help, though I haven't gotten one yet. Some cameras, some lenses

I use them on my DSLR's, and think it would be a much better solution for the X-T1 than a thumb grip. Thumb grips are great on the rangefinder style Fuji's, but I'm telling you, you won't be happy with it on the X-T1. Fuji X....BAAAAM! Renders way different than Sony.

Ok, I'll take your word for it. I have a wrist strap, but all that does is gives me security that it won't slip and fall out of my hand onto the ground. Unless you're talking about a hand strap, which I have on my dslr as well. Provides security and stability, but I'm imagining the XT1 is rather small for that, and the hand straps require some effort to slip your hand into. Some cameras, some lenses
