Hrm,

Pretty funny they're using a 500 F4L II and TC with that T6s.

But it proves a point.

Very best,

I'm curious as to the point you are referring to?

I'm assuming glass as opposed to body?

Heya,

Rebels are capable cameras. They're often treated like maligned junk around here.

Very best,

I received a T6s/760D yesterday. Quick tests around the house and in the yard tell me it is going to be a very nice upgrade over my old crop camera (XSI/450D) ISO 6400 looks very good to me-I plan on shooting a school play for a colleague with it this Thursday to really see what is up-for now I don't see any ugly banding or purple blooming in the shadows like with my 5DII. I really like the swivel/touch LCD, and the camera has a nice feel to it.

I don't do typical internet forum photo activities (shooting lenses wide open all the time, shooting birds in flight all the time, shooting berries and leaves bokeh shots all the time) so don't expect samples like that. MFA is of no loss or concern to me. When I get something worth posting/sharing, I will post a zenfolio link to a gallery where one can peruse all day. So far, it is everything I expected of it, and more.

I'm loving the sensor capabilities on my M3- it looks like it will be a very promising sensor!

I'm really looking forward to DPReview's dynamic range tests.

Check your sensor if you get one - there's an article here explaining why / what.

Here is one from a shoot I did Thursday. The circumstances-I wanted to shoot as if I was a happy snapshooter with limited resources. I only used slow, kit lenses (18-55mm STM, 55-250mm STM). The lighting was abysmal-I was shooting at 1/30 to 1/60 of a second at F5.6, the ISO was 6400. The biggest problem I had was not waiting until the image stabilization had fully kicked in, causing camera shake in some frames. I am pretty impressed by the resulting files. I wanted to see how the camera would behave when pushed to the limits. Shooting in more "normal" lighting should be no problem at all.

There is no noise reduction used in this photo-I processed it in Lightroom 6. The ISO 6400 IMO is behaving much better than it does in my 5DII-no purple blooming in the shadows, and no visible banding-

This is 6400? If this is typical of the new sensor's performance then it's one to watch. Eat your heart out Nikon?

Yes Sir-ISO 6400. I turned off the luminance noise reduction in Lightroom 6 before generating the jpeg (I left the default color noise reduction on) because I wanted to see how "bad" it would be.
