The T6s has NFC and a more advanced metering sensor with RGB+IR. As far as AF goes...it likely is using the exact same AF module as a 70D, so trying to avoid AF issues if you think it's a technology issue probably won't gain you anything.

Maybe. It lacks DPAF, which could be part of it. I'm certainly waiting for more reports.
