Lucky enough to encounter these guys this weekend but still trying to get the hang of focusing with my 70-200mm F4 non IS.

They sure were hiding from you! Number one is my favorite, for non IS, turned out well. You will need lots of practice with that lens, hope to see more.

Thanks. Maybe some day I will have an IS version either in the Canon or Tamron. For now I am shooting on bright days, using nearby structure for support and generally just keeping the shutter speed as high as I can to try to correct camera shake.
