Hey everyone, this is my first foray into HSS. I recently purchased a Godox X1-S transmitter, Godox speedlight, and 32" umbrella. My biggest complaint is the recharge time on the speedlight. Most times I have to wait 3-5 seconds between shots when shooting at 1/1, but I'm guessing that's to be expected when shooting at full power on a little speedlight
I'd love to hear any comments or tips on things I can improve. Obviously the background isn't the best, I was just excited to try out the new equipment so we setup in the front yard.
On the second picture, I'm just wondering how some people shoot with the sunset directly behind the subject without getting tons glow from the sun. It was also frustrating that I couldn't get autofocus to work when the sun was directly behind her head. I assume this is common and just a limitation of the sensor not being able to see through the sun's glow.
I'm excited to get out and shoot more with the setup!
