Just tested the HSS using Pixel King triggers for Sony on Sony A7 with Godox AD360 and Rime Lite softbox.
So far the King is quite reliable, no missing shots, except couple of shots in the end of the photoshoot. I guess it's due to HSS overheating protection on AD360.
I use Canon 200/2 where there is no practical way to attach variable ND filter on its 12 cm front ring .. yet So the HSS is really a big advantage here.

One of the thing I missed was that I forget to check where the center of the light falls to the subject (also inverse square law ) as you can see in this photo where her legs and arm got more exposure than her face.

And I forgot to bring sand bag ... the light fell twice blowed by the wind. Luckily it always falling forward, so that the softbox hit the ground first and not the strobe

Can't wait to do the next outdoor hss photoshoot ....

Yes but besides its expensive, I dont want any dust goes inside my 200 lens And to get the aperture stay at f2 we need variable nd filter due to ambient light intensity changing if we shot outdoor.
I am thinking to make a diy nd filter for the 200/2 using 160cm rectangle filter for ultra wide lens and filter gel, put them in front of the lens using diy arm holder

Can't you use the 360 in regular mode w/o having to enter HSS on the flash?
I can with the A7II and the Odin TX/RX!!

The 360 works at full power with an FP-sync trigger beyond the x-sync speed.
If you reduce power the IGBT power control clips the tail of and causes uneven lighting.
