In PS, when you save them, save them for web & you can set the size. That'll fix your size problem

Another thing you could do is post them elsewhere and supply a link to the image that people can surf to and view. That is just another option that I thought I would throw out.

First resize them to largest 800pixels on each side. Then Save As for Web :)
