Hi, I have just sold my 5d Mark 2 to fund either a purchase of a D800e, a D750 or another Canon, a 6D.
Having Magic Lantern installed was great, its making me want to stay with Canon just to have it, one of its features is the ability to use Bulb mode to program in any exposure I want, say 5 mins, then use its intervalometer to fire off 20 shots at that exposure length. The built in intervalometers in the D750 or D800, can an exposure of longer than the standard 30 secs be used on multiple exposures?. If not, will an external one do it?
Thanks for reading

I use this intervalometer:

Does what you are looking for very reliably and has a lot of other useful functions.

Yes, and they make the same cheap China ones for $15 on eBay

Nikon also has built-in intervalometer too.

I always use external because I find it's quicker and easier for me to set up.

All of the cheapo ones that look like that work fine - just get the right cable.
I suggest the second one because you can get different cables if you switch camera bodies.
Cables are usually $5 each.

I suggest not getting the fixed cable type if you want to reduce the number of intervalometers you will own over your life :)
