Anyone use these to protect there lens'? Are they worth the investment or am I better off using the no mar tape? Or any other ideas for protecting their equipment?

Hi,
I would never like to use a big lens like this one unprotected.Previously I had the 400mf5.6,which too was well protected.
Now I never bought a lens cover/coat,rather went the DIY path.They get my job done....and cost much much less,abt 5-7$....;-)a

You can have a look @ my Tammy ...
