if you tilted his head back just a tad you wouldnt get the shadows under his eyes/jaw

Thanks Davo. It was a spur of the moment thing so I just really wanted to see what this thing can produce :) That and the fact that when I actually try to get pictures of him, I get the worst looking fake smiles you have ever seen. Guess thats what happens when you grow up around cameras and are only 5.

I have a local festival to shoot Friday so that should be a real test...haha.

yeah its a lovely shot, really relaxed pose and really connects with the viewer, even though he's not looking at it

Reminds me of one I took last year with my nifty fifty. The angle and eye contact.
