Zeiss may have accidentally leaked an image of the possible upcoming A7 R II!

I hope this is true... There is also the possibility that it was from the a7ii using sensor shift.

I have this strange thing where I don't know why I'd buy a Canon 5DS but I'm interested in a Sony A7 with that many megapixels. Can't explain it.

I had heard that Canon was designing a new sensor, and had chosen Sony to fabricate the chip for them. My understanding was that the Canon sensor had a new double lens design for each photosite, but that Sony was permitted to market another version of the same chip with a single-lens photosite. I had heard the 5Ds was an example of this, and this seems to prove what I had read was indeed correct!

Could this be another? 8956 x 6132 so 55Mpixel count (and it is 3:2), more pixels than the 5Ds and apparently from a camera called the 1DxII in the EXIF, and this sample photo was released today! This shot from a Zeiss lens announced for the new body, too?

<TROLLING>Yea, we know the 5Ds sensor wasn't made by Sony: John Sheehy has tested a RAW and claimed there's little improvement in DR over current Canon sensors</TROLLING>

I'd be rather surprised if a 1DxII had 55MP. That would rather leave the 5Ds in a difficult position.
