3 different takes on this ol' fella. Probably served its purpose well. I can just about see Ma & Pa sitting there, waving a good evening to the neighbors.

1) Down the drain.

2) Silver Efex

3) Don't be hatin' on the PP :)

I like #3 for the dramatic colors, whether the satutation is turned up or not.

Not really liking the 1st, because the more ugly drains take away from the main subject, which is the decrepid old house. 1 and 3 have good light, which is always a plus.

I like that middle one. I think the storm drains are too prominent in the first, consider cropping them out.

Thanks for the comments, and I see what you mean about the drains -- Looks better when I screen crop, so will update the image.

Well, on second thought, this is perhaps a stronger image, with a very distinct diagonal cutting through it. Kind of unexpected... didn't see it when I took the shot, but pretty cool that the shed lines up with the house that lines up with the trees.

Sorry. I'm kinda hatin' on the PP on #3. #2 is nice but the out of focus weeds detract.

Being from the Midwest myself, I can relate to and appreciate the simple lifestyle shown in the first photo.

Thanks, and I know what you mean... I'm biding my time until I can get some of that.
