Recently I received an old telescope that was broken. The tube was crushed and the mirror was scratched. (don't ask).

I am wondering if it is worth while to find a way to attach my 300 2.8 and camera to the EQ1 or would this just be an exercise in frustration?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn

That part?

Additionally you may be able to salvage the mounting bracket off the tube and fabricate your own adaptor out of it.
