Octa softbox vs umbrella softbox ? What's the different ?

Im looking for light modifiers, i found this :

I think both of them has the same effect , but correct me if im wrong,
Let say both of them has the same size , then what's the big different ?

I have one of the units similar to option 1 listed above and I really like it.. you may get more spill with option 2 as it appears less directional. I could be wrong though.

you'll get a cleaner catch light on they eyes and smoother reflection on the first because the flash is totally inside vs sitting on the outside of the front diffusion.

but the first might be a little harder to angle up or down.

yes..angleing the 1st one here is somewhat of a challenge, but certainly manageable

An octobox has a flash mount on the rear, where it hangs on the flash.
