I'm fairly new in the game of post processing photos and wanted to see what kind of techniques or tips i could use to make this image seem like the car is actually at the location. I have taken this of the car from a show and pasted it on to this background I took separately. I would like to get good at this..

Here is the image :

The brightness of the background image compared to the car are off. The background is a cloudy muted background without a strong white point, compared to the car where you can see a distinct white and highlights. I would brighten the building and possibly add some blue to the sky as well as clouds. I would also darken the asphalt that the car is on so it would be able to hide a bit more of the shadow of the car.

I guess it depends on why you want "to make this image seem like the car is actually at the location." If the owner of the car also owns the building, that's one thing.
OTOH, if you are just trying to make the car look good, brightening the background will just make the car look darker. Keep in mind that our eyes are drawn to the brighter parts of the shot. Take a look at POST #30 in this thread: A few Car Lighting Tips
The gray bar at the center is the same density all the way across & the darker background makes the bar look brighter against it.

Even with that, I'd like to see stronger highlights in the body, & have it more to the left so it has some room to "move into" the image, too.

Here is two quick edits I did, the first one being what I had mentioned and then the second one is you can try to make it look like a nighttime shot with a long exposure. Obviously the night one would need more work to mimic it but it gets the idea across.

Something like #2 is what I had in mind, though I don't think I'd have made the building quite as dark.
How about if we make it look longer?

Even if you don't own/use C1P, you might be able to perform similar operations in your RAW processor and/or Photoshop.

+1

I think you did a good job on matching the white balance and making it look realistic.
