Hi everyone,
I own a 2010 15" MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz and 8GB RAM. I recently decided to jump ship from Aperture after Apple dropped it and subscribed to Adobe's Creative Cloud (on the $10 a month plan) and downloaded Lr5. Enjoying the experience very much so far. Upgraded to Lr 6 via CC service last week. Lr5 ran smooth and very rarely crashed. Lr6 crashes every few minutes, seemingly randomly and lag time is sometimes slow when making adjustments in the Develop module. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lr6 twice to no avail. The "Send Report" box that pops up shows a message that Adobe can't find any fixes or workarounds for this problem. Help me figure out what's going on here? Enjoying learning a new program, but the frequent crashes are getting frustrating.

You can try logging out and back into CC. I'd also try to toggle the GPU processing off if you have it turned on.

I'll try logging out and back on next time I'm on my computer. GPU processing? What is that and where do I turn it off?

Thanks for the suggestions!

It is in the program preferences under the performance tab. It toggles whether or not processing will be done with the graphics processor vs the CPU. It does't play well with all systems.

Ah I see. Thanks. I'll look at when I have a minute to sit down.

Turning off the GPU processor seems to have fixed the crashing issue. Thanks!
