The Brat III stretched her wings again this morning. She is still breaking in the new engine rebuild. I stopped by at around mid day and worked a few bracketed shots before they put her back in the hangar.

The Brat III is an actual combat veteran. Manufactured in 1944 she was shipped to England and assigned to the 9th Air Force, 370th Fighter Group, 401st Squadron and flown by Lt. Hjalmar Johnsen. Later sold to Sweden and then the Dominican Republic where she retired in from active duty in 1984.

Today she wears the livery of the 401st Fighter Squadron, 370th Fighter Group, of the 9th Air Force during WWII.

Hope you enjoy this Brat as much as I do!

Here is another of the Mustang - this was a three shot bracket then processed with photomerge HDR in LRCC. I then cropped and vignetted slightly.

The first image in this post I also used a three bracket merge in LRCC but then went on and did some color work in various Nik modules. With fresh eyes today I am leaning more towards the second photo ...
