Hi guys!

Can anyone offer editing advice on how to achieve the look in these photos:

The photos have a subtle matte look with slightly faded colors and cooler gray tones. Any ideas?

Can you post an example of one of your photos(preferably RAW in a dropbox link) so that we can take a shot at it?

The matte look is basically achieved by lifting the black point on the RGB tone curve (lower left point), but go easy on it. Too much lift and it will blow out.

As for the color, I think this is mostly just a cooler white balance choice with a roll off of the vibrance.

Personally, if they were mine, I'd have sent them back to be reprocessed in fresh chemicals. ; )

Thank you! I had tried navy exclusion fill layers, but then highlights would turn yellow.

These are the already processed JPEGs that you want your photos to look like. What I meant was give us one of YOUR photos in RAW format so that we can get a feel for processing it like you want it. Then we can tell you how we did it.:-)

Given the ubiquity of this look, I would expect there to be hundreds of tutorials on the web.
