Still very new to this birding game but I've been putting a lot more effort into identification. If I have any wrong please don't be shy!

Red Winged Black Bird & Song Sparrow.

Number 2 looks like an American tree sparrow. The vulture is a Turkey vulture. Nice job on the photos! Avian photography is addictive.

Nice set and great variety. Super blackbird photos, especially the first one. Guess I'll disagree on the sparrow ID, looks like a Swamp Sparrow you captured there.

Tanks for the comments. At least I know I was in the right direction. I had actually narrowed it down to the American Tree Sparrow, Swamp Sparrow or Song Sparrow. I forget what led me to the Song Sparrow conclusion. Maybe the call? And yes you are right Beekeeper. This is addictive.

I appreciate the clarification on the Turkey Vulture as well but whatever you want to call it I'm sure it is the same character that was living under my bed when I was a kid. ;-)a

Thanks very much. I just noticed there are a bunch of mod-deleted photos in this thread. I really have to look into hosting my images somewhere.

Noce captures and great timing. I love the composition on the 2nd one. That blackbird looks upset about something he must have been quite noisy too!
