I've only been able to shoot wildlife in Zoological institutions until yesterday. We took an offroad trip down the backside of a local mountain and saw this girl. She had friends but I was only able to get shots of her.

Just trying to be better than I was yesterday.

Congrats!
You did well.
Maybe try to leave a bit more room in front
Of her for composition sake.

There are often deer in Madera Canyon if you go early in the morning. 6 am or so.

Nice work, Nate! Congrats on photographing free-range wildlife for the first time!
I must admit, I am a bit jealous. Even thought I consider myself a Whitetail specialist, I have never even seen a member of the Coues subspecies before. I'd love to photograph them sometime.
Keep at it - I'd love to see what else you can come up with!

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
