Decided to go to Becky falls as I was told there were Meercats there, (my fave animal) sadly it required more zoom than my 24-105 lens (the need for a decent zoom lens grows, though still unsure what to get) so I moved on to the water falls, This was the best shot I think.

I dig it.

Maybe take the WB a touch cooler and recover some highlight detail in the water?

Also might help to burn the edges some to enhance the flow of the eyes up (or more naturally down) the stream.

Cheers,

Jeff

The second one is better, but it still isn't wright. Also you darkened the surrounding forest. It's the rocks and water area that you just need to work on, consider when tweaking, adding a mask to the forest area to retain it's dynamic range. Then consider adding vignetting to the top corners to draw you into the focal point being the rocks and stream ...

The corners are way to dark, and you have to bring down the yellowish green on the rocks.

I wish I new how to copy your image from here, right click doesn't allow you to save. I would like to try an edit of your image..

Originally there was an 'Editing OK' button to tick and that allowed the download of the image but apparently as I have been told that option was removed in the last update of the site. It would be great to see your edit, i'm still trying to find a way.

The only thing I can download it in now seems to be (.duck) whatever that is.

Andy

Do you see the little eyeglass icon on the image? Click on it to open the image in a new window and then you'll
be able to copy it normally!

Thanks Douglas, it does work, I clicked on the glasses icon to the right of the picture and then dragged that picture to the desktop and it copied fine.

Thank you very much Bianchi, you have helped me greatly, I thought the driftwood added something but I can see now it doesn't, I can now see the problems in my other photos too. Cheers.

Your quite welcome, if I had more time, I would of also removed the tree on top of the stream, as I don't fill adds anything to the image, although others may fill it does.. Also I would of worked much more on the rocks, as there are some that are still not to my liking.

The whole objective was to let you see what I was referring to.

The rocks where done in LR with a brush, and removing of the driftwood was done in PS using the clone tool.
Additionally I opened up the shadows closed down the highlights and set white and black point in LR
