For $25.00 I picked up an EOS 650, a 35-70mm, a 300EZ speedlight, and the best...... a first generation 50mm 1.8. All in great condition.

Sure, the 650 is practically worthless, but for a film body, it's a pretty nice one to have. The 300EZ is also practically useless in the digital world. The 35-70 apparently was the kit lens. I figure my daughter could get some use out of it on my old Xsi body. It's slow, a little long, but it seams reasonably sharp. The 50 1.8, on the other hand will definitely get some use. It's the original metal mount built in March of 2006. A quick test has yielded some rich, sharp images. Score!

If you have a 50mm f1.8 mk1 that was built in 2006 then you have a super rare one of a kind lens!!!! They stopped making that lens in 1990 ;)

Still the nifty metal fifty is a great lens (LOVE mine) and usually goes for over $100 (usually between $110 and $150). So not a bad pick up for $25!

the 650 aint worthless, I've seen them go for $25-80 from people wanting to get into film.

My friend bought one for $80 and she was screaming about how much a deal it was, I didn't have the heart to tell her.

The 35-80 is even nice on a crop, it was my first lens(actually preferred it over the 18-55)

BUT it's even more better if you convert it to Macro, you can also convert it back with no issues.

get your daughter some film and have her use the 650, I'm sure she'll love it!

I shoot way more film than digital and I was born in the digital age.
