I ended up getting a new comm-lite, which worked fine for the 24-105 and 50mm 1.8.

When I tried the Contax Canon adapter, I noticed that it doesn't focus to inifinity... also the focus chip doesn't get recognized

Has anyone tried this or did they just get the contax to fe adapter?

I use a Fotodiox C/Y to NEX adapter for mine. Infinity focus has never been a problem with any of my lenses: 50mm f1.4 Planar, 28mm f2.8 Distagon, 28-85mm f3.4-4 Vario-Sonnar, and the 80-200mm f4 Vario-Sonnar. I use Fotodiox adapters for my m43 cameras, as well. They've seen a lot of use and have held up very well.

I use a generic "dumb" EF to Sony E adapter on the Sony body and generic EF adapters on the lenses themselves. I also flocked the inside of the Sony adapter which is something you should absolutely do regardless of what route you take. The random flares I was getting totally ruined some images.

Yeah, the flares and light is just horrible.
Where did you get the flocking paper?
