Lightroom 5. When I use the dodge and burn the circle icon that allows you to view or edit are not showing up. The dodge and burn works fine, just can't see the edit circle after done. Not sure what has happened as it was fine a few days ago. I think a button was pressed on the keyboard by mistake, or maybe not.

Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure I understand your question correctly but are you referring to the red overlay? If so you toggle it on or off with the O key.

Hi, thanks for the response. The red overlay is also not showing up when pressing "O". But, I'm referring to the actual button(s) that are on the pic for each dodge & burn. The button has a black center with a black thin ring. When you click on it, it allows you to modify / view that dodge & burn. None of those are showing up, but the tool works otherwise. Just can't edit any of them after because button(s) are not there.

Thanks again for any help.

i don't have an answer for you, but for someone that might I think knowing the OS and version of Lr would be a good starting place.

Oh I see. I think you are talking about the pins. You can press H to toggle them on/off.

Look to the bottom of the develop panel. There is a switch, "Shoe Edit Pins", which which allows you to specify when the button is/are displayed (Auto, Never, Always).

you have much better reading skills than I. Once i had "button" in my head i couldn't get past it and was thinking it was a preferences problem.

I also didn't notice that he was editing shoe pictures. :D

That might be so.....

Unfortunately, nowadays, I just can't remember why I've gone into the kitchen ߘ
