Canon Monopod Pad?

Anyone know where to get these? I understand you either have to speak to a CPS rep or attend some sort of seminar where they might give them away.

Has anyone had any luck getting one from a rep? I'm always looking for some extra padding and I kind of dig the big red Canon pad (I know some don't like to advertise for free).

Anyone have someone I might be able to email about it? I tried the standard contact but they gave me the whole "we don't have them" deal, which could be true because I might be in the wrong department.

It's been awhile since I've seen anyone talk about these, so maybe you can't get them through reps anymore, but some help would be appreciated.

Sorry SierraHighPhoto, don't know either but for a "padded" alternative, go to your local hardware store and pick up a length of 1 inch pipe insulation (like for hot water pipes) with the internal diameter of the pipe about 1/2 inch less the the diameter you your monopod. Next, get a very sharp long knife and in a single motion, slice off the length you need. Don't saw back and forth! Slide on your monopod and you should be golden. Hope this helps. Aloha, Mike
