Camera Bag For 400mm F/2.8 IS w/ Gear?

Looks like my camera bag isn't going to be big enough to carry the 400 along with my other gear, so now I'm in the market for a new camera bag as well.

Normally when I'm going to be using the camera bag I'll be taking the 400mm F/2.8 IS, 70-200mm F/4L, and two Canon 5D Mark III's. Additionally I might like to carry at times my 24-105mm F/4L IS, along with the 1.4x teleconverter and my laptop (15"). I've looked at the Think Tank International v2.0 Rolling Bag, which I like a lot, but would like some other recommendations as well.

I'd prefer to have a rolling bag if possible, but I'm open to suggestions as well. The 400mm F/2.8 IS, 70-200mm F/4L and the two Mark III's are musts for the camera bag. I can sacrifice the others, but would prefer to be able to be able to have room for all.

That's a lot to carry around.
Don't see any bag to fit your needs.
For myself I use a Lowepro Trekker 300 AW to hold the 400mm F/2.8, one body, a flash, a 24-105 and small stuff (batteries, cards, paper-pen) and that's about it to fill the bag completely.

Just mayby you could use the 600AW version and compart the bag but I suppose it's not gonna be user friendly that way.

The Gura Gear Bataflae gets good reviews if you want a backpack. I will give it a try when I buy a supertele.

The Airport International will work for all that. It is what I have/use. Though if I were to buy again, I would probably get the Airport Security for the extra bit of room it affords.

At this point, I don't really bother looking at rollers from anybody but Think Tank. Not only top notch gear, but the BEST customer service in the business. There is a reason why when you show up at a sporting event and there are 30 photogs there covering and there are 30 TT rollers in the workroom.

Could you clear up how you intend to use this bag?

I hate to sound daft, but in my experience there are bags you transport stuff in, bags you hike around with, and bags you work out of.

which of these applications are looking for a bag for?

I do some traveling and shooting with a 500mm f/4L IS, but I do not have a bag that I use to work out of that would hold it,.

When i travel with it, it gets packed in carry on, but when I shoot with it I use a Kenisis bag which can also hold two bodies, t-cons and some lenses if needed.

The rolling thinktank Airport is a great way to get gear through an airport, albeit an expensive way, but not so great for lugging into the field on a hike etc.. My own solution to the Thinktank roller costs about $50.00-$80.00 and frankly is more useful all around for air travel.

So this is the basis of my questions above.

It would be used to travel with, but also to take my gear to locations. So for instance if I went on vacation I'd use it for the travel, but if I were shooting sports, I'd use it to take to the photographers work room area.

OK, thanks for that, it really means what I use likely is not what your looking for. On the other hand, I'm not sure what your looking for exists in a form that I would want,. but I get the feeling what works for Wildlife and birding is not necessarily applicable.

When I travel I pack all my gear in a standard luggage rolling case that is the correct size for overhead carry on bag.
I strap my long lens to the inside rails that the collapsible handle goes into, ( I actually use OpTech neck straps to do this!) and pad everything else with socks, t-shirts etc.

My Carry on thus has all photo gear that i can't lose and a change of clothes or two..

when i geto my destination, i get my working bag of of my checked bag (it will also be stuffed with clothes and other essentials) and at this point "repack" for business.

I have not really tried to combine my working bag with my long lens bag, I like to work out of a standard bag like my big Billingham, or my Thinktank retrospective for all other applications.
