What kind of bird is this?

This young lady is nesting in my driveway. She used to do a 'broken wing' routine, until she got used to me. Today I was mowing and she sat on those eggs as I drove withing 6 feet of her, on a riding mower! Location is north-central Indiana. Date taken: 5/13/15. Definitely a ground-nester! Second image is a clutch of 4 eggs.

Very nice photos! I have't actually seen their eggs IRL but we have had at least one nest in our farmyard the past few years. They are quite the vocal (and somewhat annoying at times LOL) bird.

You will just love the babies, they are sooo tiny and adorable!
