That looks very cool. Not sure I want to pony up $500 now for something that might ship next February, but I'll keep an eye on this to see how they pan out.

It just looks like it's made all the others into desperately delicate models..

Plus, it has little eyes on it ^ ^

I wonder how well it avoids obstacles, if at all. For example, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, off-roading; surrounded by trees and such.

Good point. I suspect it's a case of PPPPPP?

The website video says this model has ZERO obstacle avoidance. It can follow the transmitter only. so you must use it in the big wide open out doors, away from trees!

Obstacle avoidance will come in the next one,.

I've seen this mentioned.

"At this moment, the Lily Camera does not have any obstacle avoidance capabilities (cost and design choice). We have found that most outdoor activities do not need obstacle avoidance because Lily can follow the user’s path. But again there are no guarantees that Lily will not hit anything while it is following you."

Aspiring young amateur hobbyist photographer. Wow, that's a lot of descriptors!

OMG! I wonder what the cost/weight will be with that added?
