First Birding Post

I am a wedding photog with kids that play ice hockey so those are the two thing I know how to shoot. I purchased the 100-400 II when it can out and decided over the last week to take a few bird pictures to practice more with my 7D2, which I use for ice hockey, but it is nothing like tracking birds with constantly changing EC - crazy stuff. I'm very slowly getting the hang of it. With the 7D2 I'm shooting Auto ISO and I'm just thinking about EC and SS if I can lower it or need to raise it. I have also settled on AI Servo with single centre point that I can quickly change as I have reprogrammed the DoF button to change to a large centre grid of AF points.

I started with a few backyard pictures and then have ventured out a few times to locations in Toronto where I think birds will be.

Nice series Paul but I have to say you nailed the red winged blackbird. That is not an easy one with all the black. Well done.
