And one non-bird... (other than a gosling being the dinner part) - a bit of a crappy shot, but I was thrilled to see one LIVE in the WILD!

Great set Brian, not sure how this slipped by. Ya gotta have a great big Awww for the little girl with all those Goslings I would bet that was such a thrill! I gotta admit I went to your Flickr to get some help on the Bobcat.
Really grand set of shots! Well done indeed.

Any capture of a bobcat is a trophy! Before I spotted the caption identifying it as such, my guess was bobcat based on the ear and general pelage. Also enjoyed the humorous shot of the dowitcher scratching his chin, I have a shot of a Great Blue Heron in similar pose. John

Yeah, the little girl shot was great timing. The innocent girl and the innocent goslings together. I really wish I hadn't been shooting with my sunglasses on, but my regular glasses were in the truck, so the shot of the bobcat was a bit of a guess :)

Now I want to stake out the area and see if he comes again. Lot's of food around right now.

The Dowitcher looks almost pensive... like he's trying to decide on a meal :)

Cheers!
