I had not forgotten. My widest lens was 17mm (17-40) for many years on crop sensors.
If you go back to the film era, 24mm on 135 film was considered very wide...

May 16, 2015 19:46 | #32 Y'all pretty much lost me at the first "R". I don't know anything about RAW except that it's a HUGE file and my computer struggled. I can't remember what photo program I was using way back then but the RAW file was more than it & I wanted to deal with. Karen

Set your camera to "raw + jpg". This will record your images in both formats. That way you will not only have all your images as jpgs for your immediate use, but you'll also have them as higher quality raw files; something you may one day thank yourself for doing.
