This is our 2nd trip into Africa, and it was as good as we can get :-)

Look forward to seeing these - South Africa is definitely on my "bucket list"
I'd be interested in your thoughts about what worked for you on the trip and what you would do differently if you were to do it again.

Love your location!!!
We are practically neighbours! (I'm in South Australia - wish I could type that upside down ;-)a)

Thanks Ace :-)

We spent most our time in Namibia, and highly recommended.
The rest the place we only there day or two, but we had a very good time regardless :-)

As practically everybody in Zimbabwe ARE Trillionaire, as long as you carry USA, South Africa or Namibia currency and you'll be ok.

Nice pics. I am leaving on 1 June 2015 with Overseas Adventure Travel to the same countries. This will be our third trip to Africa with them; I hope this one is as good as the other two.

With 60,000 elephants in Chobe National Park, I never see so many elephants in my life!

And even my 28mm Nikon Coolpix can take a good shoot with them:

Chobe is a great place for birds, we spent 4 days on a houseboat in Feb this year. Great shots, the Carmine Bee-Eater is excellent, incredible colours!

You are right about the ellies, there are ,000's of them. Love your last pic of the mother & young one.

Thanks :-)

We saw 2-3 houseboats cruising along Chobe River during our trip, our driver mentioned that some of the biggest one can host up to 3 families...
Love to stay in the houseboats in the Chobe River rather than in our Murray River for sure :D - LOTS birds, hippo & crocodiles for sure.

In the afternoon we took a 4x4 drive alone the Chobe River - then we saw even more elephants! Lots buffaloes too...

On the way back from Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls that afternoon, we saw those rare African Painted Dogs on the highway :-)

If you think you saw a lot of ellies at Chobe, go back in July or August when it's really dry!

It sounds and looks like you had a good trip.As you may know, I go to southern Africa annually with local camera club trips. While there are more elephants and game there in the really dry seasons, I do love the wading elephants and fantastic birds that one sees in April and May. Thanks for sharing
