A few from this morning

Happened upon these little guys this morning.. . . IBird has them flagged as yellow warblers. Sweet little song. Had my monopod along so it helped reduce camera shake with the 70-200 f4 non IS. Haven't got the crisp images I want yet but moving in the right direction.

Not the easiest bird to get close to I think John so kudos are certainly in order for that.
Your captures look fine for struggling with a non-IS lens, although to my eye could benefit from a little NR in post.
Keep after em and bring us more!

Thanks, Steve. I've been trying to compensate for the non IS and the limited reach with the noise reduction feature in Lightroom 5. Pockets aren't deep enough to facilitate anything like the 70-200 f/2.8 IS versions either Canon or Tamron or a 100-400. Long range plan is to purchase a used Canon 200 f/2.8 and use it in combination with an extender. In the meantime I am trying to get closer and shoot as many frames as possible. It took about 45 minutes to get the few shots I did once I happened upon them.
