I use mostly manual focus lens and am having a terrible time seeing when it's in focus. Is there a better screen? I've all but given up on Autofocus, too many off focus.
I appreciate your time,
David

What screen are you using?

The super precision matte (EF-s) is ideal for use with fast aperture lenses (don't bother if using a lens with a lower maximum aperture than F2.8, ie, F4, F5.6, etc, it gets really dark fast, this is for F2.8 or faster lenses). I use them and they're great. I can nail focus with F1.4 lenses no problem. You focus with depth of field basically, so it's a cinch.

Very best,

I ashamed to say I don't know what screen is in there now. It is the original one. I will find out and get the one you suggested.
Thanks
David

You can check the camera's setting for the focusing screen. The type designation is there. The currently selected one should be the one you have in the camera.
