Bird’s Eye aka Thai Chili Pepper
Grows wild in such areas as Guam and Saipan.
It resembles a bird’s eye when sliced or snipped.
It is very often described as Pungent and Fruity.
~75,000 Scoville Units (right in between the Jalapeño and the Habanero)
Capsaicin protects the seed by giving the consumer a hot burning sensation.
This is how much I prefer in my soup.
