When I print a 8x10 with a 10 in roll of paper it always prints portrait and I have to cut the edge of the paper. How do I get lightroom to print so it takes of the with of the rol so I don't have to trim? Hope this makes sense.

The rotate to fit commnd in LR rotates the image to best fit the printing cell in the LR page layout. Getting the page layout correctly placed on the paper is usually down to the printer driver settings. At least that seems to be the case with custom paper sizes, my printer dosen't offer roll paper though. LR needs you to set up both the printer driver and page margines and image cell sizes correctly to get the results that you want.
