As an update I received my Spyder2 Pro today and it was VERY well packed.
I recieved my 20D and lens cleaning kit today as well. A layer of bubble wrap across the bottom of the box, the 20D box sitting in the center of the box on top of that, and then packed on all sides and top with the air packets, very well packed, was pleased to see that after reading this thread. 
My lens cleaning kit had a bottle of cleaning fluid, which in the 2 days from leaving B&H, apparently completely emptied out of the bottle, leaving me with no cleaning fluid and a rocket blower and lens brush covered in the solution. I called and spoke with someone and the guy said "we'll put a claim in with UPS" and pretty much ended the convo right there. I was kind of put off by this and decided for the $3-4 dollar worth of the fluid ($15 kit) I didnt want to deal with a UPS claim, so called back a few minutes later and got someone else and explained my previous call and not wanting to deal UPS. He was very kind and more or less told me "We have no intention of inconveniencing our customers, we'll deal with UPS, you just sit and wait for a new one to show up." That put me in better spirits and pending that ends well, will make this entire transaction a pleasant experience.
