I was thinking about trying out some light painting/sculpting on cars and possibly some other things but don't want to spend $400 on an Ice Light or anything like that. I came across these Coast LED lights and was wondering if you think they'd be good enough to do a decent job or if any of you have used them...

I was looking at the 251 or 220 lumens ones. They seem bright enough and, maybe with some sort of homemade flag, look like they might work. What do you think or do you have any other cheap products that would do the job?

Thanks ilove. I just want to give this technique a shot (no pun intended) and, although I'd like something usable to come out of it, I don't see the need to spend $400 on an Ice Light just to basically mess around. But then again I don't want to order this, even if it is only $10, just to have another "flashlight" sitting around the house.

I was just wondering if the lumens would be enough to properly light things. From the videos I saw on them, both the 251 and 220, they look like they pack a lot of light in a small package. The control of the light might not be the best but I figure I can flag somehow if need be. And I'm sure the color temperature won't be all that great but something I could probably work around in post.
