the exif says ISO 100 but looks much higher. What's the story?

Probably because it is a longer exposure, think that most exposures are 2 secs

Yea I noticed the same thing. Can't use it wide open on a bright day. :(

Every shot I took wide open, the white jerseys and baseball was fringed; it was 1 pm though. I wonder if the fringing would go away at f/4.5 or so.

Why shoot so wide open when you don't "need" to?

To try to blow out the distracting background. I probably should have shot at f/5.6 to get better IQ and sharper subjects. Shoot and learn!

The 24-105 is a great walkaround / travel lens especially for fullframe. There's a reason why Canon offers this as a kit with the 5D series. With that being said, I feel primes are more suitable for my current needs so I'm selling my copy. Please PM if you're interested. ;) Although I am keeping the 17-40 for now since I'm a sucker for wiide angle and I can't afford another wide angle prime. :D

Hope these samples help in your decision to get this wonderful lens! These are mostly SOOC and all shot with a 5D mk1.

Yeah I noticed the look right away but I know it was a symbol used widely prior to the ****'s using it so didn't really think anything of it.
