Hey gang - how do you 7D/crop folks like your 24-105 with crop (vs FF if you have FF)?

and if you use a 7D/crop with your 24-105 - how do you like it for portraiture?

any annoyances?

Landscapes ok?

Its my next lens (selling my 15-85) ~ mainly for portraiture & walk-around.

frankly may get a used 18-55 IS for landscape/astro... the IQ vs price ratio is worth it... not that it would show up in my sig... ;) :p :D

I think if you want to do portraiture on a crop, you have a great lens for that already the 85 1.8, or maybe look at a 50 1.4.

I'm quite happy with what the 85 does for me and I'm sure I'll like the longer length of the 24-105 - I'm wondering about the 24-40mm range I guess... anyways - wanted to hear impressions from crop users if there are any drawbacks besides the aperture not wide enough

the driver is looking straight at you - hehe

Yes, don't forget the driver is the one on the left in the image, but they're both looking at me! I wonder if they'd be interested in a copy?

When i took the picture, i used no filters. In Lightroom i used the gradient for a small amount, but there is really no much post-processing involved.
